Hannah, one of our tutors, recently spent the Easter holidays tutoring in the Bahamas. This was a residential role; she carried out Maths and Science GCSE tuition. Hannah has written about her time with the family below:
In March and April 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to teach GCSE Maths and Science in the Bahamas for two weeks over the Easter break. Thanks to both Kings Tutors and the family I worked with, the entire experience could not have been better and to date is the highlight of my career.
The Bahamas is home for the GCSE student I tutored and where he lives with his family in between term time at boarding school in England. Lessons were between 3.5 and 4 hours per day, and we also spent time on self-study techniques and a revision schedule across all of his subjects in preparation for the exams.
Whilst I had met both the student and his Mother in London previously, flying around the world and not knowing what to expect when you get there can be a challenge. However, the family could not have been more kind and hospitable – they continually ensured I had everything I needed and were incredibly relaxed and trusting of my teaching approach and plan. I consider myself incredibly fortunate on a personal and professional level for having worked with them.
I will forever be grateful to Kings Tutors for the opportunity and their flawless support and communication before, during, and after the job.
