Kings Tutors at the National Tutoring Awards!

On the 9th July, Kings Tutors had the pleasure of attending the National Tutoring Awards at the House of Lords. Hosted by the National Tutoring Conference, the Awards brought together key figures in the world of tutoring and celebrated some of those who have made such a huge difference. Some of the awards which were handed out were: “The Most Inspiring Tutor”; “The Longest Standing Tutor”; and “Top Charity Contributions from a Tutor”.

We thoroughly enjoyed being able to celebrate the tutoring industry and also loved spending the evening with people who are all so passionate about the difference that tuition can make to a child’s life. Tutors, like those at Kings Tutors, dedicate their time to ensure that every child has the best chance at succeeding. This could be the success comes in the form of a place at the University of their dreams, being able to master a subject that has been a struggle for years, or having more confidence than ever before when learning. We are so proud of all of our tutors, and so grateful that we could spend such a beautiful, sunny evening celebrating all things to do with tuition!

Wimbledon(e)…

It would not be a British summer without Wimbledon and, as always, it is over far too quickly! We absolutely love the traditions that come with Wimbledon. A couple of years ago, we posted a blog about how Wimbledon always draws out our quirky and quintessentially British ways and we think it is just as true now! Wimbledon was held from the 29th June to 12th July this year, and saw Serena Williams walking off with her sixth win and Novak Djokovic winning the men’s title for the second year in a row. The Wimbledon Tennis Championships always make us so proud to be British and they are celebrated and enjoyed worldwide.

We love tennis, of course, and we thoroughly enjoyed cheering on Andy Murray, marvelling at Roger Federer’s simply staggering skills, gaping at Serena Williams’ sixth Wimbledon win, and being blown away by Novak’s stunning final performance. However (and we don’t think we’re alone on this) we also just really enjoyed cosying up with a healthy amount of Pimms and unending punnets of strawberries with fresh cream! How glad we are that this has become so much of a tradition that to not partake in it is almost unheard of.
