The Charles Dickens Museum is giving the standard late-night opening a twist by putting on candlelit tours of the writer’s former home on Thursday 26th September 2013. This will be a chance for visitors to experience the setting where some of literature’s most famous scenes were created without electrical light spoiling the ambience. This ‘immersive experience’ will begin with a short introductory film which will then be followed by an exploration of the house including areas that are normally out of bounds.
