Geology literally translates from the Greek as the study of rocks. It is usually the study of the earth but it can also refer to any type of rocks that make up other planets and celestial bodies.

It can give so much information about the past from the evolution of life to the climates throughout the ages. Knowing the amount of information which can be extracted makes it an incredibly interesting subject, learning so much about what happened when gives you much more history than just human history.
