These tutors will all strive to make sure that your child reaches their academic potential. Tuition can be provided for all subjects on the National Curriculum at every level. Our service is bespoke and completely flexible. Structured programmes can therefore be arranged to take place over a long period of time. Alternatively, more intense tuition can be arranged should this be needed instead.

about usEmily Jack, Founder and Director

Emily founded Kings Tutors after tutoring for five years and doing a brief stint working in the Financial Services. She noticed that too many children did not have the support they needed to pass the increasingly competitive school entrance examinations or did not know how to cope with the pressure put upon them. This is an issue that is close to her heart. Emily strongly believes that tutoring can be something that can work alongside formal education and that it focuses on individual styles of learning.

As recorded by the Good Schools Guide, the “instantly likeable and extremely efficient” founder of Kings Tutors is a big part of the tutor recruitment process and meets every tutor before they are accepted onto the books. Emily is a board member of The Tutors’ Association’s CPD panel; this is an industry-led initiative which seeks to promote best practice in tutoring. Emily was educated at Downe House girls’ school  before then going to Uppingham school (co-ed boarding school) for sixth form.

Rachel Holland, Head of Account Management        about us

Rachel will most likely be the first voice at the end of the telephone when you call the office. With a good eye for detail and a sympathetic disposition, she has a fantastic rapport with all parents. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Kings Tutors and her main priority is to match our pupils with the best tutors possible. Before tutoring, Rachel worked all over the UK being a sought after nanny so she understands children’s needs very well! She has now settled into office life and is enjoying the varied role at Kings Tutors.  Rachel loves field sports and is a fantastic Scottish Country Dancer – she regularly attends international competitions.
